  • Total Phases of the Project : 1stPhase (3 years), 2ndPhase (3 years), 3rd Phase (4 years)
    For the 1st Phase of the Project, National Research Foundation of Korea (from September 2012 to August 2013) and the Bio-Synergy Research Center (from September 2013 to August 2015) will participate.

Objective of the Project

To develop fusion source technology of IT and BT that can be utilized in investigating system-level MCMT activation principles of natural materials empirically proven by traditional knowledge including the Dongeuibogam.

  • [Virtual Human Systems] Development of technologies for interpretation and prediction of medicinal heritage based on the virtual human body system
  • [Natural Product Materials] Development of generic technology for MC analysis of prominent medicinal heritage materials
  • [Molecular Target Discovery] Development of multiple molecular target investigation technology based on convergence biotechnology.
  • [Multi-Omics Bio-Markers]; Development of tailored biomarker technology based on multi-omics related to medicinal heritage.

  • Development of unique source technology by analyzing traditional knowledge from medical classics including Dongeuibogam with cutting-edge biotechnology
  • Proving scientifically the efficacy of natural materials and obtaining intellectual properties for the discovery
  • Reduction of duration and cost for developing new drugs using empirically proven medicinal heritages
  • Procurement of technologies and materials for public health care, thus establishing strategic basis for the aging society
  • Development of core technologies for fusion bio-industry regarding botanical drugs and functional foods, thus contributing to the establishment of new industry sectors.
